Hi community,
I understand the printer is not printing in color. Let's try some steps to help you.
✔️ First, check if your drivers working fine: Software and Driver Downloads
✔️ Make sure you have tried the steps mentioned in this document - Black Ink Not Printing and Other Print Quality Issues
✔️Clean the color ink cartridge up to 2 times and print a test page to check the result.
🛑 If the issue persists, I'm afraid this is a hardware issue. Please reach out to the HP Technical Support team in your region regarding the service/replacement options.
Thanks,
I work on behalf of HP

Right-click the printer that you want to use, and then click Printing preferences.

Hey share299,
I see you are having an issue with swapping between B&W vs Color on your HP printer. What model HP printer do you have?
Do you have the full feature driver and software package for your printer installed on your computer?
What is the Operating System of the computer you are using with this printer?
** For many HP printers this option is found in the Advanced section of the Printing Preferences directed to by jabzi. Select Advanced at the bottom of the Printing Preferences window. There will be an option for Print in Grayscale. Setting this feature to Off will turn the standard color printing on for your unit and Black Ink Only will set the printer to B&W.

If it is a windows based PC, then have you tried the steps outlined in the above post marked by double bullets?

Hello,
Please check the ink levels for Color cartridges.
If it is lesser than or equal to 1/4, I'd suggest you replacing them, else
touch SETUP ( wrench icon) > TOOLS > CLEAN Printhead
Try the above step atleat 2-3 times.
If issue still persists, i think it could be an issue with Printhead. i'd suggest you calling HP Tech Support for further assistance.
If you are in US , the toll free # is 1-800-474-6836 .
If you are Not in US , then log on to www.hp.com , at bottom-left corner there is a world map icon, click on it and then select the region you belong to, which would then provide support options for you for that region.
