I have 7 printers of the same model (for our 7 business locations).  Each of them is enrolled in InstantInk.  Even though I have named each of the printers in my HPSmart account, on Bonjour, and given each a custom ePrint address, there's no way within InstantInk to tell which printer is which.  So when the ink arrives, I can't tell which printer the ink belongs to or which location to take it to (since I'm limited to one shipping address for all 7 printers).

Any help would be appreciated!  I know I could theoretically set up and maintain 7 separate HP accounts, but that would be truly cumbersome so I'm hoping there's some way to identify the printers from within InstantInk.

@dustintroy, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.

I understand your concern. However, there is no option to rename the printer on the Instant Ink account.

You may use the replacement ink cartridges in the printer that is running out of ink as all 7 printers are of the same model.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Thank you @kumar0307.  I previously had the impression that Instant Ink shipments weren't interchangeable between printers, even if they were both enrolled.  If they are indeed interchangeable, then that definitely helps to resolve my concern.

Thanks again!

Since all the printers are of the same model, you can interchange the ink cartridges. If they were of a different model, then it would have not been possible.

Feel free to contact us with any concerns related to HP products.
