My printer is an HP ENVY 5020. When I try to open the HP Smart App it says I need to update the os to be able to use the app. My tablet says it is upto date. What do I need to do as I get the same message each time I try to open the app.

Uninstall and reinstall the HP Smart app to fix the issue.

No this did not work for me as it still says OS needs updating. Is there anything else I can do.

If this private message to the HP support person worked, I would like to get this help too.
My printer is HP color laserjet MFP_M183 and the OS is Android 7.1.1

I think it is unacceptable from HP to drop usage of the device I bought just like that. I'm  not interested in the HP cloud services, I just want to print and scan from the APP via the local network connection.
