HP envy 7855. Pretty sure this problem started when I very recently installed a new cartridge..I might have printed a couple pages on the new cartridge, but I can't remember. Printer decided to restart or update and is stuck on the HP splash screen with 1 of the 7 little dots turned blue and the progress bar full.
I have unplugged several times. Removed and reinstalled cartridges, checked for paper jams and held down the power button. Each time it only gets to the same point of 1 blue dot.
I have seen a lot of other people with this issue and I think HP did something with an update that has bricked our printers.
Is there a way to factory reset or install an update via USB?

I thought I had done all this because I had the cartridges and the plugs in and out so many times. Perhaps it was one little piece that I missed. Anyway, it worked this time. That's because I spent hours trying to figure out how to do it and then I finally canceled my instant ink and ordered a new printer.... Today I got this response and when I try to it worked so I guess the new printer is going back!
