I get 79 Service Error. and the printer keeps initializing and reinitializing and never stops.

I did an update on my M821 and now I can't print or connect to my wireless because it keeps restarting and doesn't give me time to do anything to solve the problem.

I'd like to help!

 

We can perform a factory defaults on the printer to resolve the issue

  • The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may corrupt the device.
  • I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.

I am having the same issue with my Color LaserJet Pro MFP M281fdw.  The printer is in a loop of giving a 79 Service Error then cycling off and back on, just to give same error.  I reset the printer by holding bottom right corner of view screen but as soon as I turn on wireless connection it goes right back to this loop.  This issue has continued for weeks on this HP board but no response or update  from the manufacturer yet?

Please help as it is hurting our ability to conduct business.
