Black print cartridge stopped working. I replaced cartridge with a new HP 564 XL cartridge. Used the Clean Printhead and Align printer tools. Received message "Alignment failed. Cartiridges are set to default quality" The printer is out of warrenty so no help from HP. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what to do?

Hi @aquaharry,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums! 🙂 I see you have recently changed the black ink cartridge on your HP Photosmart 7520 and now you are unable to print. You get an 'Alignment failed. Cartridges are set to default quality'.
I would like you to continue troubleshooting here: Color or Black Ink Not Printing
Complete ALL steps listed and make sure the cartridges are properly vented.
What are the results, are you now ale to complete a successful alignment?
This is a great question other customers may also be wondering about; please click the "Accept as Solution" if you feel this post has helped you, or could help others. You can easily say "Thanks" by hitting the "Thumbs up" icon.
