Hello,

I have contacted my local (Polish) support - and it was a very unique experience: during the live session on my mobile, I've showed the error and was asked for my address. Today, a completely new printer was delivered to me - I am really impressed. Thats great from HP to solve the problem that way - especially taking into account that the warranty has expired a few months ago.

Best regards,

Marcin

Hi @Eini,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The error code 83C0000B on your HP OfficeJet Pro 9022e printer indicates a hardware issue related to the printhead. This error typically occurs when there is a problem with the printhead or the printer is unable to detect the printhead properly. Here’s how you can troubleshoot and potentially resolve this issue:

Steps to Resolve Error Code 83C0000B:

Restart the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for at least 60 seconds to allow any residual power to dissipate.
  • Plug the printer back into the power source and turn it on.
  • Check if the error code persists after restarting the printer.

Check Printhead Installation:

  • Open the printer’s access door or top cover to access the printhead area.
  • Ensure that the printhead is properly installed and seated correctly.
  • If the printhead is removable, carefully remove it and then reseat it back into the printer. Make sure it clicks into place securely.

Inspect for Obstructions:

  • Check the printhead and carriage area for any obstructions such as debris, paper scraps, or tape that may be blocking the printhead’s movement or connection.

Clean Printhead Contacts:

  • If there is visible residue or dirt on the printhead contacts, clean them gently with a lint-free cloth lightly dampened with distilled water. Avoid using excessive force.

Perform Printhead Reset (if applicable):

  • Some HP printers have a built-in option to reset the printhead. Refer to your printer’s manual or support documentation for instructions on how to perform a printhead reset.

Update Printer Firmware:

  • Ensure that your printer has the latest firmware installed. Firmware updates can often resolve known issues and improve printer performance.
  • Visit the HP Support website, enter your printer model (OfficeJet Pro 9022e), and download the latest firmware update if available. Follow the instructions to install the update.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

Hello @Rachel517

Thank you very much for your reply. Unfortunately none of the steps worked/was possible to execute.

The printer displays the bluescreen with these error code 83C0000B and I can't do anything with it. The problem occured like a year ago, the printer was put to the attic and few days ago took it back again. The problem seems to be caused by the wrong firmware update like it these posts:

and

Is there any solution for this problem found already?

Best regards,

Marcin
