Hello-

I am running macOS Catalina 10.15.7.  When I right click on a printer, there is an option for "Reset printing system...". I clicked that and it deleted the printers. I then re-added the printer with the option Secure AirPrint. I am now able to print again (over wifi). I hope this helps someone else!

So far with 3 printers at the office and 2 at home selecting Airprint for the driver fixed the problem for me.  The HP driver quit for all of them at once.

MacOS Catalina - I got my Photosmart C7280 to work again using the HP DeskJet Series driver

Fingers crossed

Same here.  HP driver works (for me after reinstall) with Catalina.

Mojave and lower all of a sudden doesn't.   Reinstalling with Airprint on Mojave works.... for me... for now!

So until HP can replace their expired certificate code, those of us WITHOUT AirPrint are helpless. Maddening.

BishopZero,

I think you nailed it, an expired certificate.  That would explain why it behaves differently on Catalina vs Mojave.  Did you see an error/info message, something you could get a screen shot of?

Same issue here. Spent hours on the phone with Apple when they finally said I needed to call HP. HP's customer service is horrible. I spend a bucket load in ink a month. I think they could help a bit more. This suddenly happened on both Apple computers today. What a joke! HP I think you need to resolve this issue. Lots of unhappy customers. Yes, my printer is old but it worked yesterday.

OK, agreed on all points regarding awfulness.  Regarding  a fix for users out there:  For Mac OS Mojave and lower reinstalling Airprint as the driver should work.

I spotted that same fatal exception error that you referenced on my system which was resolved (for me) by uninstalling HP Smart, which removed the HP print utility file.
