HP LaserJet Pro M1536dnf Multifunction Printer is AirPrint compatible. Have you tried removing the existing printer driver and then setting up the printer with Apple AirPrint?

Senan,
I tried removing the printer and then setting it up via Airprint. Two things: 1) This printer is NOT on the list of airprint compatible printers on the HP site;and 2) This seems to be confirmed since After I removed it and with the USB cable unplugged, it was not listed on the available printers to add. So I couldn't use Airprint. Now what?

As per this document, HP LaserJet Pro M1536dnf Multifunction Printer is compatible with Apple AirPrint. Some printers require a firmware update to enable compatibility with AirPrint, you may download and install the latest printer printer firmware update from here.
Once you update the printer firmware, try setting up the printer using Apple AirPrint.

Senan,
Followed the links you recommended. 1) Using the Safari browser it wouldn't download the firmware file. It just open a web page with "garbage". Went to Firefox to download the firmware file
ljM1536mfpfw_20140630.ENG.rfu
Tried to open this and it couldn't find an application to open with. I also downloaded the newest EasyStart software to see if that would help. It didn't. So I am still stuck. Please advise.
Thanks,
Gary

So HP that was completely disingenuous. That number is a sales number. They do a couple of reviews of some logs on the mac and then try and sell (very heavy sell) on signing up for HP services tied with 2-3 other companies that will take care of your computer. If I want to have this specific problem fixed it's $149.!!! Why don't you just say "We ain't fixin' your problem! Have a nice life!"
Sheesh

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).
