My new Envy 6055 printer will not go to sleep. I have verified through the administrator setup that the timeout is set to 5 minutes. I have performed the steps that I have found in this forum for this problem, including updating the firmware and plugged the printer in directly to a power outlet without using a power strip. It still stays awake 24/7. What else should I try?

@DrewShelton, Welcome to HP Support Community!
The only option left is to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.
I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.

You can make the printer enter sleep mode directly by pressing (the Power button)
1. On the printer control panel display, from the Home screen, touch ( Setup ).
2. Touch Power Management.
3. Touch Power Button, and then select Enters Sleep Mode.
4. Press (the Power button) located on the front left side of the printer to make the printer enter the sleep mode.
NOTE: The printer will enter sleep mode 5 seconds after you press (the Power button). During this period, you can press (the Power button) again to make the printer enter sleep mode immediately.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
