Envy 7855 won't print or make copies
12-16-2020 01:43 PM

I have a really nice Envy 7855 printer that I LOVED that just one day, almost a year ago, STOPPED printing. There is no error or the only error is it was not turned off correctly from us unplugging it since it wound stop making noises otherwise. When you try to print, it just makes noise and nothing happens. It then says printer busy. I wondered if we did not do the windows 10 update so I did that. It can scan documents but not make copies or print. I have spent hours with the virtual Agent and it is like talking in circles. I really miss the good old days when you could talk to a human. Help please

Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Let's try to reset the Printer here:
Reset the product
- With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
- Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
- Wait at least 60 seconds.
- Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
- Reconnect the power cord to the printer.
- Turn the printer on. HP recommends plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet.
Also, try connecting the Printer to a different wall outlet directly.
Try a firmware update: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c02919168

I unplugged it from back and wall for several minutes and replugged in. Tried a different plug. Tired downloading the firmware but it says it is up to date. Thanks for trying to help.

This seems to be a hardware issue.
I request you to talk to HP support.
They might have multiple options to help you with this.
- Click on this link - https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp?openCLC=true
- Select the country.
- Enter the serial of your device.
- Select the country from the drop-down.
- Click on "Show Options".
- Fill the web-form. A case number and phone number will now populate for you.
I hope that helps.
To thank me for my efforts to help you, please mark my post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others.
Cheers.
