I recently did the firmware update. Today I changed the black toner and immediately got the error message F0.01.09.01 and now cannot use the printer. Any suggestions?

HP is currently advising to perform a factory restore to resolve the issue.

How do you do this if you cannot get the error message off the screen? The instructions say to turn the Menu option, but screen is not displaying anything other than error message.

Have you tried starting the printer with either the old cartridge or no cartridge?

Yes, I tried it with the old ink toner and it did not change. The error message still appeared and the printer will not function.

I have the exact same issue today after changing the black toner on mine and having the firmware update automatically installed 3 days ago. So far no response from support. I'm not sure if a firmware downgrade is possible but it might fix the issue.

Same problem after new toner replacement.  Can't believe HP has not tested, detected and responded promptly.

Can I get some confirmation on model numbers please. I am trying to escalate this issue but the first question they are going to ask is which printers.
