I have the same issue.

Same issues here in NZ, blue screen, same error code, have only ever used HP instant ink and the printer warranty expired in March 2023.

And the HP support subsite is down so no way of contacting anyone.

Luckily it happened Friday evening, so at least I know what I'm doing this weekend...

Will be interested to see how you go.  This is a massive problem & so many affected.  Mine is out of warranty by 1 month.  Good luck!

Same issue here, genuine cartridges.  Sounds like everyone was hit on the same date.  Not sure how though if we dont give permission for a firmware update, so still trying to understand how this happened.  Mine is out of warranty by 1 month so not sure how I & many others go here.  I thought it had just died until I found this forum & went & ordered a new one - same model 9020e as I have spare ink cartridges.  Being a work printer paid for by my employer, I thought this was the right thing to do.  I am just wondering if I should cancel the order given the circumstances - will this happen again to the new printer?  Any recommendations would be greatly received.

Good luck everyone!

I’m in New Zealand and had a video call with a technician. I let him know I was one of many and he said he wasn’t aware of the issue and he opened up a case number for me. We talked and I re tried the power down to no avail he said he would get back to me within 48 hours and then I got a follow up email saying my case was closed. I will try to call back next week and them I will be calling the commerce commission as under the fair trading act the printer is not fit for purpose and a printer life span needs to be 3-5 years and mine is only 13 months old

And for me, the printer is under warranty. HP haven’t any solution. So I sent the printer back to the distributor. If it is not repairable, this distributor (Amazon)  will offer me an exchange or a refund. I have already bought a Ca..n multifunction printer !

HP contacted me again but when they learned of the return of my printer, the contact closed the after-sales service ticket! One less unhappy customer !!

Hi, has HP said this to you??

I only purchased this in the middle of last year and need it for my work….completely lost without it and getting further behind.

Hi,

Hi,

HP France did not say the printer was not HP repairable. But on 9/05, HP had no solution and was not able to give me a deadline for a decision (repair or exchange). I had to wait...😫

HP informed me that if he decided to exchange the printer for a new one, it would take a fortnight to receive it... And at the time, the after-sales service of HP France did not yet know that the problem was European or even global...

Like you, I need to print, so I decided to order a printer from another manufacturer 😝 !

I still have to cancel my HP Instant Ink subscription!.

I'm starting to think that HP is also a victim (incompetence? malice? cyber attack?)
