HP LaserJet M110we Printer

hi, my HP Laserjet 110w printer crashed with a new original HP cartridge. S/N [Personal Information Removed] this is the serial number of the printer. the block is caused by the fact that the printer remains in the "cartridge validation" state and no longer continues. Therefore, I cannot use anymore the printer in this status...
I tried several times to reinstall the printer and restore it from scratch both from the HP smart app and from the PC, but nothing changed. the firmware is updated to the latest version and the toner contacts are clean. how can I solve it? Thank you.

I already tested all your potential solutions on the forum but nothing changed. Please help me , I have 2 brand new cartridges original from HP and I do not want to loose them....

Hi @stefanoF94,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are facing an issue with your HP LaserJet M110we printer is stuck in the "cartridge validation" process, which can be frustrating, especially with brand new original cartridges. Since you've already tried reinstalling the printer, updating the firmware, and cleaning the toner contacts, here are a few additional steps to try:

Reset the Printer: Perform a hard reset to clear any errors in the system:

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Unplug the printer from the power source.
  • Wait for about 30 seconds.
  • Plug the printer back in and turn it on.

Check the Cartridge Installation: Even though you've installed new cartridges, sometimes rechecking the installation can help:

  • Turn off the printer and open the cartridge access door.
  • Remove both cartridges, ensuring there’s no protective tape left on them.
  • Reinstall the cartridges firmly into their slots, ensuring they are seated properly.

Try the Printer in Recovery Mode: If the printer is still stuck, you might be able to reset the printer to factory defaults by putting it into recovery mode:

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Hold the Wi-Fi button while turning the printer back on.
  • Keep holding the button until the printer shows an indicator light or status message related to recovery.
  • Follow the on-screen prompts to reset the printer and clear any errors.

Check the Toner Cartridge Chip: The issue could be with the chip on the toner cartridge not being recognized. Although it's rare with original cartridges, it's possible the chip is not making proper contact with the printer's sensors. Try gently cleaning the chip area with a dry, soft cloth.

Perform a Firmware Reinstall: If the firmware update didn't resolve the issue, try reinstalling the firmware:

  • Go to the HP support website and find the latest firmware for your printer model.
  • Download and reinstall the firmware, ensuring the printer stays powered on during the process.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
