Ok, I am issues with my new printer...won't print in color. I see the HP people said it would take additional support from others within the company. Did they come up with a repair for you? Thanks. deemerdot

I have an email to a guy that could fix anything related to printers or computers. I will have to pay him. I have copied the various fixes into Word (fortunately it still prints out in black only) for this guy to see. If I can't get in touch with him, I will try the last thing you did...the simple remove it and install it but if this doesn't work, I'm taking it back to where I bought it. Fortunately, I bought the extra protection plan but the downside---I will most likely have to get another IT guy to come install it.

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).
If you are unfamiliar with how the Community's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.
Thank you for visiting the HP Support Community.

No, nothing I tried worked. I figured it was time to pay a pro so I took my computer to a small business here in town. He uninstalled everything for the HP Printer and uninstalled any hanging files from the old Cannon I had. When he finished, I paid him, brought it home and did what he told me to do...it works now.

I paid a pro to fix this...I knew I would have to go that route. But you know, this really should not be necessary. It is like buying a new car---it drives forward and backward until you get it home---then it won't go into reverse. Same thing...
