My printer also in cancelling halfway through a page.  Sorry, but could you tell me how to find my printer's IP address? I printed out a page called Printer Status Report with a URL address.  Is this what I use?  Thanks

Hi Gretchen61,

Welcome to the HP Forums! To find your printer's I.P. Address you will want to print a Network Configuration Page. You can do that by using this guide. Printing a Network Configuration Page.

Hope this answers your questions, and have a nice day! Smiley Happy

Thank you so much, I was really stressed about my printer not finishing its print jobs and cancelling in the middle of them and no one seemed to be able to figure out why this was happening, after talking directly to HP and microsoft to no avail, your suggestion seems to have worked.

Thank you, thank you....this worked for my Envy 5530.

I have been battling this issue for nearly a month.

(I'm almost afraid to say the issue is solved)

Thank you!

Thank you!

Thank you for sharing.

I've been hunting high and low for what the issue with the printer is/was.

This TCP/IP port thingy has fixed it.

Didn't want to post until I was 100% certain but after printing 50 sheets and all 50 actually printing plus other print jobs working perfectly I think I can now feel confident that it is indeed true.

Beats the snot out of PC World thinking it needed a new circuit board (Dad was going to take it down last weekend for them to do so, but I found this thread and so suggested we try this first.) They'd already convinced someone else who had the printer with them that their's had a fault and needed a board swapped.

Eewec.

I too want to thans you for sending us the port fix option. I played with things on my 4630 for about 2 days. Finally I found this post and applied the change this worked perfectly so far. Yes the properties tab was a bit confusing. I tried to go to properties and not "Printer Properties". Once I found this it was smooth sailing.

Thanks again.
