I don't own a color cartridge and have no need for one. I would like to be able to disable this infernal message that pops up every time I turn on my computer.
HP 1510 all in one printer, btw. Windows 8.1

Hello @22NOLA , and welcome to the HP Forums.
I see you are looking into alignment issues. I would like to assist.
The printer is unable to align without a colour cartridge. Without the ability to align, there is no way to clear the message.

hi @Jamieson,
so what you are saying is, that we need to buy a new color cartridge to let the alignment process complete successfully, even if we don't need it because we print only b/w...?
thanls for your reply.

This really is not an acceptable answer. There has to be a way to disable the alignment ink waster.
I will decide when or if it needs aligned, not HP who wants me to waste ink so they can sell more.
If there isn't a way, make one.
