Hi,
Sorry to say: You can't. Based on the following information:
http://h10010.www1.hp.com/wwpc/us/en/sm/WF06a/18972-18972-238444-12019-3328086-4322968.html?dnr=1
it clearly says:
Duplex printing (printing on both sides of paper) | None (not supported) |
Regards.

Sorry to tell you that Officejet 6600 do not support auto duplex print but can perform manual duplex print. The printer does not have a duplexing accessory. Attach is the link to the document contains steps to manually print on both sides of the paper. Hope this help.

I thought I was buying a printer with duplex capabilities.
Obviouly it won't print duplex, but I have to ask why a duplexer is installed?
I can turn the dial and remove the duplexer so there is no doubt. It's got the wheels and path too.
So, why was a duplexer installed when it can't print duplex?

Hey CA71765,
The Officejet 6600 does not come installed with a duplexer. Please look at the illustration below to see what the backside of a 6600 should look like.
There is only a rear access door, but it does have some wheels on it to help guide the paper through the paper path of the printer.
Are you sure you do not have the Officejet 6700 Premium? This unit looks very similar to an Officejet 6600, but it does come with a duplexer installed. See the image below.
Hope this helps clarify,
Jason

My older printer (C5500) came with a program that would assist you in manually printing on both sides. It would print all the even pages first then instruct you when to turn the pages and then it would print all the odd pages on the other side.
Why does the 6600 not come with this program? It is a much newer printer so it should be much more advanced.

I have by mistake found a way to print on both sides on the Officejet 6600, I will tr to explain how! I put what i need to copy on the top tray as you do to make a copy, but then i put what i needed to go on the back of it on the tray where the copies come out of. (if that makes sense? its the part that tilts up and part of it can slide up to catch the paper, any way what i did was push the paper half way down and when i pressed print it took the paper from the tray that your copy comes out on and not the tray that you have all your blanck paper..I really hope you are able to understand this, I copied something 6 times, I then pushed all 6 copies into that tray, then I put what I needed on the back of these 6 copies in the top tray and clicked it to copy 6 times, it copies all 6 with the the reverse printed..
Try it!!! KathyK

I agree. I previously had a hp deskjet 3740 and the program with that printer had a manual duplex option that indicated when and how to reinsert the pages to print on the other side. I don't understand why a newer printer does not have that option.
