Hi all,

im looking at getting Instant ink but I just can't understand how it work but I think I have a rough idea. You pay £1.99 a month and when you run low in ink the printer tell hp and they send a new cartridges.

But do you still have to pay for the £10-20 cartridges or do they come in the £2 price. Also, what if I required to use more than 2 ink cartridges a month what happens and what happens if I go over the 50 pages limit.

Thank You.

The subscription covers the cost of the cartridges, which will be shipped automatically*.  If you use more than the designated pages there will be extra charges, or you have the option to upgrade to a higher page plan.

* The printer will monitor ink usage and only order new cartridges when they are needed. The cartridges have more ink than standard cartridges, it may be several months between shipments based on usage.  The cartridges can only be used while you have an active Instant Ink account.  If you cancel the account the Instant Ink cartridges cannot be used.

From the HP Connected site:

If you do not use all your plan pages in a month, the unused pages will be kept in your account as rollover pages. Your rollover pages are available as long as you are enrolled in HP Instant Ink. You can continue to roll over up to the number of pages in your monthly plan (for example, you can roll over up to 50 pages if you are enrolled in a 50 page plan). If you have printed all of the pages in your plan, and you have used all of your rollover pages, you can still print additional pages and save.

Additional pages are available in sets depending on your plan, for only £1.00. As long as your printer is connected to the Internet, we will send you an email to remind you when you are near printing all of the pages in your plan. You can easily change your monthly plan whenever you want by signing in at hpinstantink.co.uk. Expand the My Plan section and click Edit, next to HP Instant Ink Plan. Since you can choose to make a plan upgrade effective immediately and retroactively apply to the current billing cycle, you can always upgrade your plan rather than purchasing additional pages.

I pay £1.99 per month for 50 pages, I have never reached the 50 limit but when looking at my account I can't see any evidence that I have pages rolled over from one month to the next.  Where should this be shown please?

Hi @Jacky_M

The following document will help  you with your page count (Rollover pages) inquiry: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04957321/

To summarize:  Rollover Pages are the number of pages not printed from the previous month’s plan pages, which are rolled over to the next month.

You can roll over up to the full number of pages in your monthly plan. For example, if your plan is for 50 pages a month, and you only print 25 in January, then in February you can print 75 pages with no additional charges. In the following months, your plan pages are used first. When you reach your plan total, your rollover pages become available so you can avoid additional charges to your account.

Does this resolve your inquiry?
