Sounds like printer failure notice means I have to buy another printer. Just ran out of black

ink and have tried two different replacements and still get same message. It is stuck on this message, This is very frustrating.

What about when the starter cartridge is out- can you use the ones you have?

Is it still working?  What about when the starter cartridge runs out- can you use the old cartridges you have?   I just bought all new cartridges having the same problem.  Thought it was the cartridge.

When I replaced the printhead with the new one and installed the starter cartridges, the printer said that I couldn't use the starter cartridges! As it was a replacement printhead it was already set up.

I removed the starter cartridges and installed new cartridges which I already had, and they've worked fine ever since.

The reason I purchased the new printhead was because I had lots of spare cartridges.

Although the starter cartridges don't hold a lot of ink, I don't do a lot of printing so it will be awhile before I need to try using the cartridges I already had before replacing the printhead. Fingers crossed 🙂
