I have had this printer for awhile and it has been fairly reliable, but recently i cannot print at all without it jamming up. It seems like the paper is getting drawn in crooked or at least it ends up that way. I keep removing the jammed paper, but it just happens again. I even tried switching my printer paper to a different brand but it didn't help. I can't see anything wrong internally, though i have no idea what to look for since I'm not very tech savy. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I had not changed anything with the computer or printer prior to this issue so it just started out of the blue.

Issue is resolved. I cleaned the printer really good with a Q-tip, as recommended on a  youtube video. It cycled though a few more jammed pages, and it is working fine now. I've been able to print with no problem and it even sounds better.

Welcome to the HP Forums 🙂 I would like to take a moment and thank you for using this forum, it is a great place to find answers.

Let's reset the Printer here:

  1. Turn the printer on, if it is not already on.
  2. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
  3. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  4. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  5. Wait at least 60 seconds.
  6. Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
  7. NOTE: HP recommends connecting the printer power cord directly to the wall outlet.
  8. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
  9. Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
  10. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.

If the issue persists, please try the rest of the steps from this document:

You can remove the ink cartridge and place it back in or try changing ink cartridges. If that doesn't resolve the issue, it could be a possible hardware failure.

For the next course of action, I have sent you a private message, for more details that cannot be shared in a public post.

Thanks!
