And the "private" message I received just asks for more information and assures me that it will be "passed on" to someone higher up. But still no response.

Thanks, HP, for finally replying to my message and offering something as a solution. It took a while, but I do appreciate the effort. Thank you!

I also changed my black and blue ink and could only print in blue!  On the printer it said I had ink in the other colors, but they don't print.  HP is NOT a friendly site to get answers from!!.

This worked for me.  When you go to print something, I have to go into

properties

Advanced

Under Image Color Management

go to ICM and change the setting to ICM handled by printer.

It has to be changed each time, I'm sure there's a way to change it completely, I just haven't had time for a, I'm thinking, 2 hour frustration time dealing with HP's website.  Worst site ever, right up there with comcast and verizon!!

Good luck

Please read this post then provide some details.   What operating system?  In Windows you would change the default printer properties from the Printers folder.  For example, in Windows 7 click Start, Devices and Printers, right click on the Photosmart 6515, Printing Preferences, change what you want, then Apply, OK.

Where is the solution?  I have the same problem.  Can the photosmart 6515 printheads be removed for cleaning????

Hi @djg0101

I see you are unable to print black from your Photosmart 6510, I'd like to help.

Please complete all of the steps in the following document if you have to already; Printer Does Not Print Black Ink or Color Ink, or Prints Blank Pages. Although I hope this resolves the issue, it might not. If the issue persists, please post back with your warranty status. Use the following link to check your warranty.

If your printer is still in warranty, please call HP and explain the issue you are experiencing. The number to call HP is 1-800-474-6836 for Canada and US, or you can Contact HP Worldwide.

If your printer is out of warranty, let me know and I will do my best to help. Thanks. I look forward to hearing from you.

Please also include your country/region in your next post. Thanks.

Hi

I have a windows 7.  I had to change my print each time.  I don't know what happened, but it just started to print in black again.

Do not go cleaning your print heads, your just wasting ink.

Sorry I didn't get back sooner, but HP websites are so tough to get around....with the multiple logins and passwords, it's frustrating just like verizon wireless, or comcast!!!

You just want to tear your hair out...

Good luck people

I have the exact same problem and have tried every solution several times.  Out of warranty.  USA/California.  Can you help me too?
