Not sure what HP watches in these threads for support (# of messages, thumbs ups, keywords?). Bump on the thread - I have the same problem - same code, no updates, power off for hours and boot, short time later blue screen. 9025 printer. Worked for over a year. Just bought ink... wondering if this just became a paper weight.

I tried the reset power option several times AND checked the firmware from the Mobile App (which connected directly local printer server). Same issue. After 3 minutes or so... the BLUE screen appears with B305DFF9.  What do I do from here?

My firmware was up to date... However I figured it was also set to update automatically.... and here could have been a bug  in that update.  So, I  bit the bullet and decided to factory reset my printer after the B305DFF9 error.  So far its been 30 minutes and no issues that I see. I had to add all my printer settings again.

Try the factory reset option for your printer. You’ll have to re-establish it on your system , but it worked for me. The instructions are listed in this thread, read thru it about 4-5 weeks back.

Please people, if one more person says, just do a factory reset -- the instructions are somewhere, posted a few weeks back, etc., -- I'll go nuts!!  BE SPECIFIC !!!  HOW do I do a factory reset on the 9015 printer?  It shouldn't be this hard.  This problem has been going on for months.  Please spell out the details -- don't refer.  Don't point.  I'm sick unto death of reviewing countless postings, none of which answer the question.

Revvie1,

I’ll be one of the first to say HP reps (as a group) aren’t the quickest to be helpful ref this error message. But it’s not the same for all printers, so you may need to expend a little effort of your own. Just type in “HP Officejet [insert model number] factory reset” for a Google search; your answer will probably be in the top 5 references; alternately, it’s in the printer manual once you know to look for “factory reset.”

For the 9010 series: From the printer control panel, touch or swipe down the tab at the top of the screen to open the Dashboard, and then touch “Setup”, then “Printer Maintenance”, then “Restore”, then “Restore Factory Defaults.” A message appears stating that the factory defaults will be restored. Touch “Continue.”

Followed all of the steps that were recommended; unplug from unit; unplug from wall; wait; replug;

use wall outlet;

checked for updates;

current on updates;

within 2 hours, blue screen was back again;

this is a ridiculous situation;

is there any solution other than buying a canon or epson printer?

HP Recommended

Do a factory reset (see your manual for specific printer). You’ll likely have to re-establish/install the printer, but this HP rep solution solved it for me.
