Wow. Thank you for doing this research. Sign us up! I'm certain that everyone who's experiencing these problems would like to see compensation for their time, lost investment dollars, and wasted toner cartridges (very unsustainable business). Appreciate you keeping us in this loop! (And, HP Support: would you PLEASE fix the firmware problem???)

Last week, we spent many hours working on the fixes that we learned from this group (thank you to all who have shared their learnings!). We have limped along with no printer since October, in hopes that HP would follow-through on their service duty to their loyal customers. We expected a firmware fix from HP, even if later than we'd hoped. How HORRIBLE that they have been completely silent. Attorneys are expensive and time-consuming. The quicker fix for all of us is to vow to NEVER BUY HP PRODUCTS AGAIN. What else can we do? I will begin researching Brother and Canon replacements, and will be VERY CERTAIN to let my business and personal networks know that HP has demonstrated poor business ethics, substandard engineering, and dismal customer support. With this said, if someone finds a legal solution, we are happy to participate. Thanks again to everyone who has tried to solve this problem on this user group!

I SOLVED THE PROBLEM!!!!! RESEND UPGERADE ERROR!!!
with this firmware via network:

I also tried this guide but without success:

the upgrade via USB Send went through, but there was still an error
before the upgrade, I disconnected and reconnected two connectors from the board (maybe it also helped)
then i upload fw M280_Series_FW_Update-20221010 and it works!!!!!!! printer if back from death!!!!!

Drzhor your solution has been blocked by a moderator! If there is other way to post that, I am following ? Looks like HP is trying really hard to prove that their service is rubbish.
I have followed and tried Pereg fix from I.T. Bacon, but that doesnt work for "Resend upgrade". I will get to the end of fix following steps jumping dots/pins on motherboard and usbsend-ing .rfu file but printer will go back to "Resend upgrade".
Class action lawsuit might only work as solution for this but in the meantime many people will switch to other brands.

Finally....I got my printer to clear the "Resend Upgrade" error using IT Bacon's solution. The printer is now alive BUT... Now it is jamming on the top fuser roller. I tried disassembling & reassembling the fuser just like Drzhor but it still jams. It never jammed before that defective October 2022 upgrade. This is soooooo frustrating. Anybody have any solutions?

17t-Cn000 i haven't worked for me? I got "Ready 2 Dowload" and will get to the "Complete" step. Will turn the printer off and turning it back on will get same "Resend Upgrade"message back? I am curios now have someone got to the end of nightmare and have fully functional printer.
