HP OfficeJet Pro 9018 All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My HP OfficeJet Pro 9018 printer keeps displaying error code B305ED09.  Usually I can temporarily get rid of it by unplugging and plugging the printer back in.  However, it only resolves the issue for a very short time.  What do I need to do to resolve whatever is causing the code?

I have the same issue and it just started today. I’ve had to unplug the printer 2x. Would also like to know how to fix this without having to unplug the printer every time.

I have the same question.  I've tried the recommended solution (unplug the CAT cable and the power cable for at least a minute) numerous times and the error code comes back after printing 1-2 documents.  Please provide a fix.

I am also having the same problem.  Also, like the others, when I unplug and plug back in the printer, once it boots up it works fine for a several minutes, then that code starts blinking again.  Interesting that we all are reporting this issue at about the same time.  Something fishy going on.

I am having the same problem.

I do not see a reason why the solution is not just made public, so that everyone can resolve this issue.

Hi @k9409,

Welcome to the HP Support Community

I understand you are getting an error message B305ED09 on your HP Printer. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.

We need to perform a Semi full reset to restore the printer back to its original settings.

The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.

I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.

In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Community profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
