Hi @Mo_racoon3,

Thank you for replying to us.

This is not a wi-fi compatible printer. Hence, it can only be connected via USB cable to the computer.

Please follow the steps listed in this weblink to install the windows built-in drivers.

Let me know if this helps and have a nice day ahead.

Hello! I have not seen a working solution so far as I have a very similar problem. I want to use my HP DESKJET F2423 ALL IN ONE PRINTER.

I think i have already installed the driver as I can see it on the Device manager page. But i cannot install any installer software to use the printer. when I try to troubleshoot with HP SMART APP for pc it gives me this error: error code ebs00p0004 hp. Please help. I have tried looking for installers online but have found none. I have tried installing it on my Dell XPS 13 and my Lenovo Y740 but there is no solution to both.

I have already tried everything on this page https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_2224996-1993298-16 as instructed but still not able to use the printer.

The printer turns on fine and all wires are connected successfully, But PC doesnt seem to recognize it unless I manually "find" it

This is what my PC shows when i click printers and scanners:

This is what my device manager shows:

i have tried all manner of restarts and unplugs multiple times, my printer cannot connect to network so its all usb but nothing is working. Where can I find the software installer to use the printer? HP smart is useless. please help.

Hi @Miyujin,

Welcome to HP Support Community. This is a great place to post questions and find answers.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I see that you are getting error code ebs00p0004 on your HP All-in-One Printer.

Please follow the steps listed below for product reset:

1. Turn the printer on, if it is not already on.

2. Leave printer on and completely idle for at least 1 hour.

3. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.

4. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.

5. Wait at least 60 seconds.

6. Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.

NOTE: HP recommends connecting the printer power cord directly to the wall outlet.

7. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.

8. Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on. Now check the control panel display.

You may also upgrade the firmware by following this document.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
