Until recently, I have never had a problem with this printer; however (now when I print anything blue) it comes out pink... I have cleaned the heads several times and also replaced the Cyan Ink Cartridge with a new and fresh cartridge and nothing seems to resolve the problem...Any and all suggestions are solicited!!!

Hi Chuck,
I understand you're having an issue with your Officejet 8500 Wireless printer not printing colors properly. I'm sorry to hear this has been happening, but I will do my best to assist you!
I appreciate that you advised you have tried the cleanings already but I will still suggest you have a look at this Print Quality document as it has a few other steps for you to try as well. If the problem persists after following this document though, I would suggest manually cleaning the printhead contacts as there could be some buildup causing the colors not to print properly.
Lastly I would also recommend plugging the printer directly to a wall outlet to ensure the printer is getting enough power to function properly.
Hope this helps, have a great day!!

I'm having the same problem. A printer that never had a problem printing colors now prints PINK and whenever a test page is printed out with the color blocks, which normally show black, blue, dark pink, lighter pink, yellow; but now the blue block is totally gone. The test page only prints block colors of black, dark pink, light pink, yellow.

"Done through the front panel on the printer. Just look for something like clean print head or clean cartridges."
The only "front panel" on an HP Officejet Pro 8500A Plus is where you put the ink in or slide the paper tray in. It has a display panel.
Everything is clean; ink is new; print page does not print the blue block; everything is pink or black. Any blue image does not print blue.

What most people do is search the web and find the HP support page for their printer. Takes only about 10 seconds.
Here..
Then they download the User guide and read it for all their assistance. Also on this page are installation, and troubleshooting links to help you.
