HP Smart Cannot connect to scanner

HP has released a new version of HP Smart 154.2.1075.0. It detected and connected to the scanner successfully.

I have HP Smart 154.2.1075.0, but I still have the same problem. I am using the 32 bit version, I don't know if that makes a difference.

Windows Scan works fine. The only reason I wanted to use HP Smart was that Windows Scan does not alow me to scan multiple pages into one document. As there are easy ways to merge seperate pdf pages into one document I am not going to waste any more time getting HP Smart to work.

Even when it HP Smart was working I could never select better than 300 dpi resolution.

I will never be buying an HP printer again.

I can't get Hp Smart to launch. Printer working fine but can't scan through that method. It worked until about a week or so ago.

Same issue. Was told by HP to moved my printer to within 6-10 get off the router! Ridiculous.

I also gave up and use Windows fax and scan

I have an HP Color Laser Jet Pro MFP M281cdw that gives me a similar error message. I hope HP has a fix for these scanner issues. I use the scanner more than the printer, copier, and fax.

My current version of HP Smart (156.1.1125.0) still will not allow scan to computer, either from the front panel of my Color Laserjet Pro MFP283cdw or from HP Smart on my computer. I get the very same error you do, Deftonio. Every suggestion to correct this has been taken, yet nothing works. HOWEVER: Microsoft Scan and Fax works just fine as does every other piece of software I own that has the capability to scan from an external source works just fine. It is ONLY the HP Smart app that will not work.
