I have been told that HP has recalled the blue and yellow 910 ink cartridges. The clerk at Staples said I should remove these from my printer because it could damage it. What do I now do with a printer that won't print?

@wbaxter68 I'm afraid the only way you can fix this issue is by contacting the support team, and I suggest you talk to HP support and discuss your options, follow the below steps to get started:
1) Click on this link - http://www.hp.com/contacthp/
2) Click on Sign-in or select the product using the below step:
3) Enter the serial of your device.
4) Select the country from the drop-down.
5) Click on "Show Options".
Fill the web-form, to populate a case number and phone number for yourself!
Also, if you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty, if yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from,
here's how private messages work: Click here for details.
P.S: Welcome to HP Community 😉
If you wish to thank me for my efforts, you could click on "Accept as solution" on my post as the solution should help others too.

I am furious about this. I just spent over 1 hour with the chat person at HP and got no where because it is automated. I just want a number to call to ask someone what I should be doing. It is my job to print things and I am unable to perform my job. I am working from home and no access to a printer! I cannot perform my job responsibilities if unable to print. Stupid HP makes it so printers will not work unless all ink cartridges are in the machine. This is ridiculous. Clerk at Staples told me to buy a new printer and bring it back before the 14 day trial period. That is unbelievable. HP needs to respond!!!!

My daughter ran into the same issue with the blue 910 ink and staples said the same thing. I just went onto hp store site and could buy the 910 blue ink and I also saw it on Amazon. It seems it’s still available. I will update when we get it and if it works.

I have an 8035, cannot get ink cartridges anywhere, cannot get through to anyone at HP for support. This is completely unacceptable. Was told to go to virtual agent, that is useless. My printer is basically a big expensive paperweight at this point. What am I supposed to do? My printer is only a few months old.
