I’m an IT Director for an Archdiocesan High School and we have over 1000 Chromebooks in our school and this "Filter Failed" error start just a few weeks ago and its causing issue with my student’s ability to print their assignment to turn in to their teachers.  This needs to be fixed.  All we have is HP printers throughout our building. This will be a bigger problem if it persists.  I have updated all the firmware on all our printers and updated the drivers as well and to no avail. This issue needs to be pushed up to the highest level.

A recent Chrome update addresses this issue. I was having this problem on my Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 3, and a recent (yesterday) update to version 98.0.4758.107 has corrected the problem. All printing now works as before.

I have been having similar problems with my  HP Printer and Chromebook.  I believe HP is in denial that there is a problem.  someone needs to get it fixed though.  This Printer issue has been my worst technology experience.....and i work for Google.
