RE:Bwricci - Looks like people who have purchased this printer from Costco are able to return them. Even printers purchased 2 or 3 years ago and out of warranty. Costco is accepting the returns, just explain the situation and they will take it back.

Call their corporate number and work through the phone tree to get to a tech.  My printers warranty was expired, not bought at Costco, and the HP Tech COMPLETELY fixed it remotely!  Same problem as everyone else is having, but not quite understanding why they aren’t just calling and speaking to someone?!!!!  I made one call and the problem was resolved.  🤷🏼‍♂️

Can you post the HP number?

I too talked to their technical support and spent an hour and 40 minutes on the phone with them while we took out and put back in my ink cartridges several times, downloaded at least 3 different updates and it didn't fix anything.

I was on the phone with HP support for almost two hours. They had me jump through hoops and do a few things that I thought were crazy. Connect by WIFI tried upgrade. Connect by network still ng. they tried 20200612 but I didn't have a warm feeling. By the way they were connected to my computer and running the show. They basically gave up and told me it was a hardware problem. She did say she was going to make out a technical request to have the problem looked at. Now I was on my own. I tried to install 20200612 again and for some reason it worked. I thought GREAT. I tried to print and it now jams at the output. I then went to 20221010 and it loaded but still jams. So as a finial attempt I loaded 20220414 and it loaded with no error. It still jams at the output rollers. Any suggestions???

can you let me know when and how to fix the error?

All I did was reload the 20200612 firmware that HP downloaded to my computer. But it started to jam at the output rollers. I gave up for now. Will look at it tomorrow and try to figure out the jamming issue

After uploading the new firmware to resolve the "Resend upgrade" problem, I also now have persistent paper jamming just prior to output.  Sounds like a further revised/corrected firmware is needed...please!!!

I called 1-650-857-1501 and spoke to Tech support - was on the phone a couple of hours...I allowed them to access my computer remotely - It was a process but the error message went away .....then the paper jam started.  I though it was just me and then I read others had the same paper jam issue after the fix.  I needed to step away and told the tech as well.

She told me to keep the printer unplugged for 2 hours and then she would call me back to check on it. I was off work yesterday so I don't know if she called back --nothing on caller ID ---- so a lot of sweat and prayers but came in today and it PRINTS!!!!!

I finally got my printer fixed. I was on the phon with HP support for 3 hours two different days and two different techs. First tech said printer was non repairable. I didn’t but that so I called back next day and got someone that seemed to know what to do. He uploaded an engine firmware to the control board and that seemed to fix the original problem. Then there was the jamming issue at the output rollers. I started to take the fuser out and noticed a great box bolted on the fuser in the back. I took that off and opened it up. I found a solenoid inside that was stuck shut. I took it out and cleaned the sticky pad off and put on a new piece of felt. I alls made sure all the gears turned easy. Put it park together and it worked. I also had to open the laser scanner under the covers and clean all the mirrors. That was a separate issue. Good luck
