Hello all,

Poly announces the new release of Poly Voice Software (PVOS) 9.1.0 for Poly CCX Series and Poly Trio C60 phones.

Jan 06, 2024 Question: Since the move from Poly to HP where can I download Software?
Resolution: Please see >here< for an explanation and create an Account for Poly Lens in the cloud

!!!!  Important note !!!!

  • Downgrade limitations

    • Due to the introduction of new Teams applications for the move to AOSP device management and changes to the phone’s Android OS, after you upgrade your Poly CCX or Poly Trio C60 phone to PVOS 9.1.0, PVOS 9.1.0 becomes the new minimum software version.

Returning to earlier software versions is not available, and the phone rejects attempts to install earlier versions.

  • Poly Lens automatic update

    • PVOS 9.1.0 will not be automatically applied for users with an auto-update policy in place. PVOS 9.1.0 will be available for use after manually selecting it from the available software lists in Lens.

    • The PVOS 9.0.1 release will be locked as the "latest release" temporarily due to the required changes customer are required to make to their Intune policies before they upgrade their phones.

!!!!  Important note !!!!

Product Announcement:
Poly announces the release of PVOS 9.1.0

The build IDs are:

  • CCX Series 9.1.0.9161
  • Trio C60 9.1.0.9161

What is included in this release?

  • Microsoft Teams AOSP device management
    Teams App v1.5 (2024122303)

  • Note: Action is required by customers for the AOSP device management migration. Customers can be referred to the following guides:
  • User role login denial when default user password is detected

    SteffenBaierUK_3-1741171791922.png

Web UI:  Login using the User role now requires a non-default password

The seldom used User role for the web UI has used a default password of "123" for most of our software's history.

Despite the limited intended access of the User role, it allows a remote attacker easy access to a phone's web UI where other exploits have been taken advantage of (and fixed!!). Typically through file imports, unvalidated input strings, or protocol exploits.

Best practice for any remote access point is to require non-default passwords

The user password can be changed from the phone's menus directly
    or using provisioned configuration parameters

  • Intrusion detection enhancements

    SteffenBaierUK_6-1741171792378.png

  • Two-factor authentication for system web interface and diagnostic access

Two-Factor Authentication can be enabled for several remotely accessible tools:

    • Packet Capture
    • Screen Capture
    • Web UI
    • Telnet

    feature.mfa.enabled, 0 or 1, default 0
    feature.mfa.timeout, 0-3600, default 60 (seconds)
    feature.mfa.whitelist.enabled, 0 or 1, default 0
    feature.mfa.whitelist.duration, 1-3600, default 600 (seconds)
feature.mfa.whitelist.method, "SourceIP" or "SourceIpAndService", default "SourceIp"
If whitelisted by SourceIp the whitelist affects all services. e.g. Accepting a 2FA request for Telnet will also whitelist any subsequent Web UI or remote packet capture attempts from the same source IP for the specified duration.

If SourceIpAndService is selected as whitelisting method connection attempts from the same source to different services are treated separately, e.g. 2FA authentication of a telnet connection will only whitelist subsequent telnet connections from the same source IP while Web UI or packet capture connections will require separate 2FA approvals.

  • Microsoft USB phone waking enhancements

  • Line key LED control from Teams

An API update and recent Teams app release now allows the Teams app to manage line key LEDs

Ringing and active calls will use of the adjacent green and red LEDs for easier visibility of call status.
More colors and cadences are coming in later Teams app updates

    2. You will need to pair EACH C60 with your Zoom Room OR sign each device in individually
