Poly announces the new release of Poly VideoOS for Poly G7500, Poly Studio G62, Poly Studio X72, Poly Studio X52, Poly Studio X32, Poly Studio X70, Poly Studio X50, and Poly Studio X30.

 

This Poly VideoOS software build includes the following device software versions:

  • Poly VideoOS Lite 1.5.2

  • Poly TCOS 6.5.2

  • Poly Microphone IP adapter 3.0.1

  • Poly IP table microphone 3.0.0

  • Poly EagleEye Cube USB camera 1.3.1

  • Poly Studio E70 camera 1.12.2

What's new in Poly VideoOS 4.5.2

 

This maintenance release of Poly VideoOS is available for all Poly and partner modes.

Migrating HP Poly Android Microsoft Teams Rooms devices to Android Open Source Project (AOSP)

Poly devices running Poly VideoOS 4.5.2 and Microsoft Teams Rooms will automatically move to Android Open Source Project (AOSP) for device management in Teams Admin Center (TAC).

Enhancements and fixes

This release provides many quality-focused enhancements and fixes to resolve customer issues. Notable resolved issues include:

  • After a system update, some USB-connected devices intermittently fail on a Poly Studio G62 (PVENG-31376)

Migrating HP Poly Android Microsoft Teams Rooms devices to AOSP

 

This guide will detail how administrators can convert existing HP Poly Android MTR endpoints to support Intune Android Open Source Project (AOSP) device management platform. Microsoft is deprecating Android Device Administrator, which uses Company Portal (CP), in favor of AOSP device management.

Device support and firmware details

Microsoft Teams Rooms on Poly Studio X30 Poly Studio X50, Poly Studio X70, Poly Studio X32, Poly Studio X52, Poly Studio X72, Poly Studio G62, and Poly G7500 systems

Teams controller models: Poly TC8 and Poly TC10

Firmware version support:

    • Support for AOSP device management begins with Poly VideoOS 4.5.0.

    • Company Portal (CP) enrollment support ends with Poly VideoOS 4.5.2.

    • Your device will automatically switch to AOSP device management on Poly VideoOS 4.5.2.

Steps to migrate from Company Portal to AOSP

  1. Ensure Intune is setup to accept enrollment of AOSP devices. Follow the instructions in the Migrating Teams Android Devices to AOSP Device Management from Device Administrator guide.

    1. HP Poly does not currently support any device configuration profiles.

    2. HP Poly does support device compliance policies similar to existing CP enrollment

      1. Minimum/maximum OS Version

      2. Rooted device check

      3. Require encryption of data storage on device

  2. Once AOSP device management is enabled and configured in Intune, update to Poly VideoOS 4.5.2 through either Microsoft Teams Admin Center or Poly Lens.

  3. New entries will appear in Intune Admin Portal.

    1. Log in to intune.microsoft.com with the proper credentials for your tenant

    2. Select Device > Android > Android Devices

    3. Search for the name of the device that was converted and confirm it has AOSP Enrollment.

  4. On the system or touch controller go to More Settings > Device Settings > About. Make sure the updated components match the following.

    Firmware Version: 4.5.2-454005

    Partner App Version: 7.0.0-SNAPSHOT

    Authenticator Version: 6.2505.3166

    Microsoft Intune Version: 25.02.1

    Teams Version: 1449/1.0.96.2025126202
