Hardware, connectivity, and configuration features


This release includes the following new hardware support, connectivity, and configuration features:

 

  • There’s a new out of box experience to set up your system or device using a Poly Touch Controller or via the web user interface.

  • Your Poly device now automatically detects color values and accurately displays HDMI-connected content to both near and far-end participants.

Enhancements and fixes

This release provides many quality-focused enhancements and fixes to resolve customer issues. Notable resolved issues include:

  • You can hear the audio again after you stop content sharing on a Poly G7500 system with the HDMI audio input level set to 0 (PVENG-30631).

  • With multi-stream enabled, only a quarter of the screen is used on a Poly Studio X70 video bar in Zoom Rooms (PVENG-31714).

  • Primary/secondary time server address fields aren’t shown in the web user interface on a Poly TC10 touch controller in Standalone mode (PVENG-31702).

  • The device sometimes disconnects from the network on a Poly Studio G62 with a connected Poly Studio X52 video bar in Microsoft Teams mode (PVENG-29650).

  • HDMI content sometimes is shown as gray on a Poly Studio X52 video bar in Microsoft Teams mode (PVENG-27449).

New out of box (OOB) experience on Poly touch controller and web user interface

 

There’s a new OOB experience to set up your system or device using a Poly Touch Controller or via the web user interface.

Setup via Poly Lens has also been streamlined. The HP logo now also appears on setup screens after a branding update.

EU Radio Equipment Directive (RED) compliance

This feature ensures that all network-connected devices enforce a mandatory administrator password change during the out-of-box (OOB) experience, in compliance with California and European regulations for cybersecurity.

 

Administrators must change the default password during the initial setup (OOB) via the web user interface, end user interface on remote/keyboard, or Poly touch controller. IP-connected devices have their administrator passwords synced to the parent system or video bar during setup.

 

Turkish, Danish, Hebrew, and Dutch languages added


Users can now select Turkish, Danish, Hebrew, and Dutch languages on Poly VideoOS devices.

 

Poly DirectorAI Perimeter Live setup and improvements


You can set up Poly DirectorAI Perimeter on a Poly TC10 or Poly TC8 paired with a Poly Studio X70 or Poly Studio X72 video bar.

 

You can also set up Poly DirectorAI Perimeter on a Poly G7500 or Poly Studio G62 system with a USB or IP-connected Poly Studio E70 camera. In an off-center room, you can now set the left and right distances separately.

 

Improved Poly NoiseBlockAI on Poly Studio X52, Poly Studio X72 and Poly Studio G62


Poly NoiseBlock AI has been improved on Poly Studio X52, Poly Studio X72, and Poly Studio G62.

Poly NoiseBlockAI suppresses background noise while a call participant actively speaks. Poly recommends you use Poly NoiseBlockAI v2 in large rooms. It’s also useful in rooms with reflective surfaces such as tables and glass walls.

 

Multi-microphone support for HP Poly Studio A2


This release introduces support for HP Poly Studio A2 Audio Bridge and HP Poly Table Microphones.

In multi-microphone setups, one microphone is active at any given time. The microphone automatically switches to capture the voice of the primary speaker with minimal delay. A later VideoOS release will support simultaneous multi-microphone pickup.

 

USB Ethernet dongle LLN support on Poly Studio X32 and Poly Studio X52


You can connect Poly peripherals via LLN to Poly Studio X32 and Poly Studio X52 video bars with the HP USB 3.0 to Gig RJ-45 Adapter G2 (HP part number: 4Z7Z7AA).

 

You must combine the USB network adapter with a Netgear A/V Line M4250-9G1F-PoE+ (GSM4210PD) network switch to connect Poly peripherals. You can connect the HP USB 3.0 to Gig RJ-45 Adapter G2 (HP part number: 4Z7Z7AA) to a Poly Studio X32 and Poly Studio X52.

Before you begin you must configure the Netgear A/V Line M4250-9G1F-PoE+ (GSM4210PD) network switch, see >here< .

Power off the system and ensure the USB-A ports are enabled.

 

  1. Connect the HP USB 3.0 to Gig RJ-45 Adapter G2 (4Z7Z7AA) to a USB-A port on the system.
  2. Connect the USB dongle LAN connection to your network.
  3. Connect the system LAN port to the Netgear ProAV M4250-9G1F-PoE+ (GSM4210PD) network switch.
  4. Power on the system. The system converts the LAN port to an LLN port and uses the USB to LAN dongle to connect to the network.
