What's New

This sustaining release of Poly VideoOS is available for all Poly and partner modes.

Poly VideoOS 4.7.0 contains the following updates, fixes, and enhancements.

Hardware, connectivity, and configuration features

This release includes the following new hardware support, connectivity, and configuration features:

  • You can now disable the X-XSRF token requirement in REST API calls.

See Disable the X-XSRF token on REST API calls.

  • HP Direct Connect enabled for Microsoft Teams Rooms between Poly systems and touch controllers.

    See HP Direct Connect enabled.

Enhancements and Fixes

This release provides many quality-focused enhancements and fixes to resolve customer issues. Notable resolved issues include:

  • Poly systems have been successfully tested against both the CVE-2025-48543 Android Runtime Use-After-Free vulnerability and CVE-2024-43093 Android security vulnerability. (PVENG-34463 / PVENG-32248)

  • The system or device can sometimes reboot during a meeting after audio read errors occur on Poly G7500 and Poly Studio X30 systems in Microsoft Teams mode or Zoom Rooms mode. (PVENG-36638 / PVENG-36407)

Disable the X-XSRF token on REST API calls

You can now disable the X-XSRF token requirement in the web user interface.

You can disable this feature, which is default enabled under Security > Access and set Require X-XSRF Authentication Token When Using REST API to off. Beginning with Poly VideoOS 4.6.2, Poly implemented enhanced REST API security protections to improve overall device security.

For further information, see Using an XSRF token in API sessions with PolyOS.

Note: HP Poly recommends leaving this setting as enabled. Disabling this feature is for systems that can’t send X-XSRF tokens.

HP Direct Connect enabled

HP Direct Connect simplifies Microsoft Teams Rooms deployment by running Teams only on the Poly VideoOS system.

The Poly touch controller acts as a local control without requiring its own Microsoft Teams Rooms sign‑in or cloud pairing. This reduces setup complexity, lowers network and security risk, removes the probability of sign outs and pairing issues, and improves reliability while preserving the same end‑user experience.

Previous  PolyOS releases relied on the fact that a Paired Poly TC Touch Controller would need an instance of Microsoft Teams to run at the same time as on the actual Poly Video Device. They then paired via the Internet.

From PolyOS 4.7.0 onwards HP Direct Connect eliminates this and utilizes the Teams Console display to run virtually on the Front of Room FoR device via the local Network. This eliminates the need for a separate Microsoft Teams application to run on the TC device.

How do I enable this?

Navigate to General Settings > System Settings > HP Direct Connect and enable it.

SteffenBaierUK_2-1781808357666.png

Once this is enabled, a warning will make the user aware of the change.

SteffenBaierUK_1-1781808329445.png

This causes the Microsoft Teams application running on the TC Touch Panel to log out of the Microsoft TAC:

And only the Microsoft Teams application on the Front of Room FoR will be required to be logged in. You can still use Poly Lens to remotely access the Touch Console as described >here<
